Happy Friday!

Are you like me: a WordPress custom theme developer who has no idea how to handle the block editor? Then boy do I have the podcast episode for you! I promise that it will not answer any questions you might have, but it sure asks them out loud !

Truth is, WordPress is getting weird and hard and we're probably a few years from being through the tunnel to the "new WordPress" when it comes to custom theme building. The best way out is through, which means conversations with people who are trying their hardest to build custom, high-end WordPress sites in the block-editor.

• The Twitter saga has been crazy, but I really appreciated the perspective of one engineer who ultimately chose spending the upcoming holidays with his family over Elon Musk's "hardcore mode".
• I'm stoked on these new open-source libraries for WordPress coming out of StellarWP.
• Speaking of StellarWP, the team at GiveWP is working on using the block editor to power donation form creationand it's very cool how excited they are about the potential.
• I've been thinking about playing with Github Co-Pilot and appreciated this podcast from Syntax.fm where Scott and Wes try it out. I didn't really appreciate the hand-wavy excuses about the ethics of it, but I understood their point.
